The home inspection usually starts with a phone call. During the initial phone call Inspector Check It will ask a series of questions to get familiar with the property to be inspected in order to give an accurate price quote. Square footage, age of the home, foundation type, and additional services needed are the biggest factors in price. After a price and date of inspection is agreed upon Inspector Check It will create an agreement outlining the services and price of the inspection. An email/text will be sent telling you your agreement is ready to sign. You will then go to www.inspectorcheckit.com and sign your agreement electronically. We are now ready for your inspection.
Inspector Check It will show up on time and ready to inspect. We will have a brief overview of what we will be doing and the inspection will start. The working components of the home will be thoroughly inspected: roof, exterior, garage, lot and outbuildings, pool and/or spa (if applicable), attic, interior, structural components, plumbing, electric, HVAC, and appliances (if applicable). Many other services are available including: well water sampling, pest inspection, radon testing, septic inspection to name a few. (refer to services section)
After the inspection is complete, we will go over the findings and make sure everything is explained in an easy to understand way. Once Inspector Check It is back in the office the data is thoroughly digested. Pictures from the inspection are edited and organized in individual component sections. The defects found are identified, explained, and action needed suggested. The online version of the report includes expandable pictures for easy viewing and videos of active defects. The report is delivered in within 24 hours typically. (some lab results take 3-7 business days for additional services.)
After the report is delivered the service does not stop there. Homeowner maintenance tips geared toward your home will be sent out to you as a courtesy. On-going inspection related topics will be discussed in the Inspector Check It Blog on the website www.inspectorcheckit.com. “Once you are a client you are always a client.” Feel free to call Inspector Check It 1 week, 1 month, or 10 years down the road with any question or advice you may need on your home or even construction/remodeling related questions. If I cannot answer it myself I will point you in the right direction.
